About the Role
CoreReach is transforming how businesses handle phone calls with AI-powered voice agents. As an AI Voice Engineer, you will work at the intersection of speech technology and large language models to build natural, reliable, and fast voice experiences for thousands of businesses.
You will own key parts of the voice pipeline — from speech recognition and synthesis to real-time conversational logic — and ship improvements that directly impact call quality for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and optimize our real-time voice AI pipeline including speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and conversational orchestration
- Reduce end-to-end latency across the voice stack to deliver seamless caller experiences
- Integrate and fine-tune large language models for task-oriented dialogue in business contexts
- Build tooling to evaluate voice agent performance across thousands of calls
- Collaborate with product and customer success teams to translate business requirements into voice agent capabilities
- Monitor production call quality and debug issues across telephony, ASR, TTS, and LLM layers
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in speech/audio ML, conversational AI, or related fields
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
- Familiarity with speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems (Whisper, Deepgram, ElevenLabs, or similar)
- Experience working with LLMs and prompt engineering for production applications
- Understanding of real-time systems and latency optimization
- Comfort working across the full stack when needed
Nice to Have
- Experience with telephony systems (SIP, WebRTC, Twilio)
- Background in audio signal processing or acoustic modeling
- Experience building evaluation frameworks for generative AI systems
- Contributions to open-source speech or NLP projects
